Bob McCorkle, CRS, GRI, I am a Wilmington native having earned my broker’s license in 1974. A 25 year banking career, prior to my full time profession as a real estate professional, has given me a broad level of experience and understanding in a variety of real estate transactions, mortgage loans and business in general. I have earned two of the most prestigious designations held by real estate professionals (held by only 4% of all agents). The CRS (Certified Residential Specialist) and GRI (Graduate Real Estate Institute) designations represent extensive additional training that gives my clients an extra level of professional representation.

Buying or selling property is simply too large and complex a decision in one’s life not to have professional guidance. Whether you’re buying or selling, let me help you through the transaction to avoid the many “pitfalls” that can spoil a transaction. Personally, I have been involved with the development of several residential sub-divisions and the ownership and management of a commercial shopping center. I understand the complexities that accompany many real estate transactions.

I have 2 daughters, both in college, a son who lives and works in Raleigh. I am past president of the Wilmington Optimist Club and have actively participated in church and numerous other civic organizations. In my free time I enjoy all types of water sports, primarily boating and fishing. My philosophy is simple: Allow me to explain in more detail what I have touched on above. If it makes sense maybe we can do business together; if it doesn’t, you’ve lost only a few moments of your time. My commitment to you is that I will never badger or pressure you. You are always welcome to “walk away”. High pressure is not the way I work!” I work for my clients as if I were completing a transaction for myself. One of the greatest pleasures of my business career is realized when I work with “first time homebuyers”.

From the pride of ownership to the exciting tax benefits that are available, watching folks realize the “American Dream”, is rewarding for both my clients and myself. If it makes sense to use a professional approach and an experienced broker when you are about to be involved in a real estate transaction, you are on the right track. Whether it’s a more complex, 1031 “Like Kind Exchange”, or simply your “first home”, call me. I enjoy what I do and I consistently produce successful results for my clients.
