About Bob

I am a Wilmington native having earned my bachelor’s degree from UNCW in 1971 and broker’s license in 1974. A 25-year banking career, prior to being a full-time real estate professional over 20 years ago, has given me a broad level of experience and understanding in a variety of real estate transactions, mortgage loans and business in general. I have earned two of the most prestigious designations held by real estate professionals (held by only 3% of all agents). The CRS (Certified Residential Specialist) and GRI (Graduate Real Estate Institute). These designations represent extensive additional training that gives my clients an extra level of professional representation.

I have four children, ten grandchildren and have actively participated in church and numerous other civic organizations, including being past president of the Wilmington Optimist Club. In my free time I enjoy softball and all types of water sports, primarily boating and fishing.

Buying or selling property is simply too large and complex a decision in one’s life not to have professional guidance. Whether you’re buying or selling, allow me to help you through this experience to avoid the many “pitfalls” that can spoil a transaction. Personally, I have been involved with the development of several residential sub-divisions and the ownership/management of a commercial shopping center. I understand the complexities that accompany many real estate transactions.

My philosophy is simple: Allow me to explain in more detail what I have touched on above. If it makes sense, maybe we can do business together; if it doesn’t, you’ve lost only a few moments of your time. My commitment to you is that I will never badger or pressure you; you are always welcome to walk away. High pressure is not the way I work! I work for my clients, and always in their best interest, as if I were completing a transaction for myself.

Watching my clients realize the “American Dream” through home ownership is rewarding for everyone. If using a professional approach and an experienced broker seems appropriate when you are about to be involved in a real estate transaction, you are on the right track. Whether it’s a more complex “1031 Like Kind Exchange”, or your first home purchase, call me. I enjoy what I do and I consistently produce successful results for my clients.
